The focus of the recent editorial "Are Validated Questionnaires
Valid?" (2005;
87:1671-2), by Dr. Zarins, was
on the use of different types of outcome measures to assess the treatment of
anterior cruciate ligament injuries. He appropriately outlined the procedure
that should be followed to establish that a patient-oriented outcome measure
