To The Editor:
In "Results of Herbert-Screw Fixation with Bone-Grafting for
the Treatment of Nonunion of the Scaphoid" (81-A: 48-52, Jan. 1999),
Rajagopalan et al. stated that their criterion for osseous union
of the scaphoid after surgical intervention was "trabeculation across
the site of the fracture on all three radiographs."
