This thorough, descriptive two-volume text on the evaluation and treatment of diseases of the spine has additional value in that it is a collaborative effort of an international group of orthopaedic spine surgeons and neurosurgeons. The chapters follow a logical flow, beginning with "Basic Science," continuing with "Child Spine," and ending with "Adult Spine." The text is well illustrated with good-to-excellent reproductions of radiographs and hard-to-copy magnetic resonance images and computed tomographic scans.
