In an era with increasing focus on patient-centered analysis, this book's emphasis on outcomes, with an excellent discussion by Dorey and McKellop regarding the strengths and weaknesses of survival curves, is especially welcome. A variety of individuals, including arthroplasty surgeons, rheumatologists, and especially general orthopaedists who perform a substantial number of hip-replacement procedures as part of their broader practice, will benefit from reading this book.
