This beautifully illustrated atlas is a masterpiece: it clearly shows that black-and-white photographs can be equally if not more effective than those in color for providing a visual representation of the vascular anatomy. Crock clearly demonstrates that bone is a living organism; the photographs and the text both show that it is critical that surgeons who perform procedures on the skeletal system understand the blood supply of the bone that they are treating.
