The authors state, in the preface, that their goal is to provide a step-by-step atlas "for those who wish to have a simple, practical, and illustrative approach to surgery of the shoulder." They have accomplished this task. Essentially every shoulder operation in the armamentarium of today's state-of-the-art surgeon is included, ranging from arthrodesis to arthroscopic stabilization.
