Translocation of the biceps humeri for flail shoulder

A method of anterior translocation of the biceps humeri in the treatment of flail shoulder was undertaken in seven patients and allowed active forward flexion of 40 to 70 degrees at the shoulder joint. This gave the patients a feeling of control over the shoulder.
