The diagnosis of chondromalacia by double contrast arthrography of the knee
JW Horns
The patellar and articular cartilages of the femoral and tibial condyles
can be demonstrated well by double contrast arthrography, and abnormalities
of the cartilage can be seen. A comparison of surgical findings with the
preoperative arthrogram was made for 100 patients, and the diagnosis of
chondromalacia of the patella and condyles had an accuracy of about 90 per
cent.
