Data resulting from gamma radiation of polymethylmethacrylate indicate that the clinical use of Co60 irradiation of neoplastic disease in bone is not affected by the presence of polymethylmethacrylate, nor is the polymethylmethacrylate affected at the level of gamma radiation in clinical use today.
