The Arterial Supply of the Odontoid Process

Cervical spines of human and non-human cadavera were injected with suitable media and studied. The arterial blood supply to the odontoid process forms a constant pattern of three groups of vessels from two sources, the anterior and posterior vessels from the vertebral artery and the cleft perforating vessels from the carotid artery.
