The Management of Chronic Cavities in the Region of the Hip Joint

A method of treating chronic rigid-walled cavities in the region of the hip joint consists in excision of all necrotic material, packing the defect with viable muscle after controlling the septic process, and the delayed application of splitthickness skin grafts to the muscle.
