Destructive Arthritis of the Large Joints

A RARE MANIFESTATION OF SARCOIDOSIS

A case of destructive sarcoid arthritis involving both knees in a fifty-one-year-old black woman is described.

This is the second reported case of destructive sarcoid arthritis in a large joint. The failure of steroid therapy to prevent this complication is noted.
