SYNOVECTOMY AND DÉBRIDEMENT

LEONARD MARMOR M.D.1

1 10921 Wilshire Boulevard, Suite 11, Los Angeles, California 90024

In 175 synovectomies followed for one year or more, good results were obtained in 53 per cent, while in the group with early roentgenographic evidence of arthritis, good results were found in 75 per cent. The worse the roentgenographic changes, the poorer were the results, but even in grade 4 cases an occasional good result was seen.
