The Subclavian Steal Syndrome

CAUSE OF SYMPTOMS IN THE ARM

Description of the subclavian steal syndrome is presented, along with a review of the literature and the addition of eleven new cases. It is felt that orthopaedic surgeons should be alerted to this syndrome because of the frequency with which it is associated with symptoms referred to the upper extremity.
