A proved case of histoplasmosis of the common palmar tendon sheath of the long flexors of the fingers at the left wrist is recorded. Apparently total excision of the diseased tendon sheaths was followed by a recurrence of the disease process in about one year. Re-excision, followed by a course of treatment with amphotericin B (1.585 grams) was successful, and there has been no recurrence of the disease process in four years.
