Twenty-three cases of benign solitary enchondroma were reviewed retrospectively. The diagnosis was established histologically; treatment was curettage followed by packing with freeze-dried cancellous-bone allograft. All bones healed without recurrence of the lesion. Freeze-dried cancellous-bone allograft, therefore, seems to be an excellent graft for the treatment of benign solitary enchondroma of the hand.
