Late Sciatic-Nerve Palsy Following Posterior Fracture-Dislocation of the Hip

An unusual case of late sciatic-nerve palsy complicating posterior fracture-dislocation of the hip is reported. This was due to compression in an extending mass of ectopic bone. Early decompression led to sensory but not motor recovery.
