Central Acetabular Fracture Secondary to Epileptic Seizure

TILLMAN M. MOORE M.D.1, JOHN V. HILL M.D.1, and J. PAUL HARVEY JR. M.D.1

1 1200 North State Street, Los Angeles, California 90033

It appears that our patient sustained a central acetabular protrusion fracture on the right side secondary to an epileptic convulsive seizure. It is probable that the identical fracture on the opposite side, sustained one year previously, occurred by the same mechanism. Bilateral post-traumatic protrusio acetabulae can occur secondary to epileptic seizures (Fig. 3).
