A case of blastomycosis of the knee joint is presented. A high index of suspicion and repeated cultures and smears are necessary to make the diagnosis of blastomycosis. Amphotericin-B therapy was dramatically effective in this long-standing unrecognized infection with massive loss of soft tissue and extensive bone involvement.
