Chondroma of a Lumbar Vertebral Body in a Child

AN UNUSUAL TUMOR RESEMBLING A CHORDOMA

The case reported is an uncommon tumor of the spine of cartilaginous origin with some similarities to a tumor of notochordal origin. The etiology of the tumor is discussed and its unique features of age of onset, rare location, and complicated histology are described.
