Osteomyelitis of the Sesamoid Bones of the First Metatarsophalangeal Joint

Case reports illustrating acute and chronic osteomyelitis of these sesamoid bones of the feet have been presented. The infrequent occurrence, clinical picture, and treatment of the disease have been stressed.
