The Scalloped Dorsal Metacarpophalangeal Skin Incision

The use of the scalloped dorsal skin incision for best exposure of multiple metacarpophalangeal joints of the rheumatoid hand is recommended. It is superior to the regular transverse incision in that it prevents the formation of a contracture in the scar.
