Blastomycosis of Bone

TREATMENT WITH INTRAMEDULLARY AMPHOTERICIN-B

In a case of systemic North American blastomycosis, presenting as an apparently localized osteomyelitis, combined surgical and medical therapy with direct intramedullary and intravenous amphotericin-B effected apparent cure. The techniques and problems of diagnosis are reviewed.
