An Evaluation of the Electromyogram in the Diagnosis of the Lumbar-Disc Lesion

This report analyzes the results of surgical explorations of the lumbar discs as correlated with preoperative myelograms, electromyograms, or both.

The over-all accuracy of myelography in this series was 77.2 per cent and that of electromyography 92.3 per cent.
