Congenital Scoliosis A Study of 234 Patients Treated and Untreated

1 From the Scoliosis Service of the Gillette State Hospital for Crippled Children, Saint Paul, Minnesota, and the Orthopedic Division of the University of Minnesota Hospitals, Minneapolis

A study of 234 patients with congenital scoliosis has been made. The results of surgical and non-surgical treatment have been reviewed. Sixty-six patients have had correction and fusion with an average follow-up of six years after fusion. Preliminary data are provided on non-operative treatment with the Milwaukee brace.
