Hemophilus influenzae Pyarthrosis in an Adult

A case of Hemophilus influenzae pyarthrosis of the ankle joint and septicemia in an adult is described. Four similar cases have been reported in the literature. Treatment by surgical drainage and appropriate antibiotic therapy resulted in a favorable outcome.
