Intrathoracic Dislocation of the Head of the Humerus

1 From the Lakewood Hospital, Lakewood

An unusual case of fracture-dislocation of the shoulder is presented in which the humeral head is displaced into the thoracic cavity.

Despite a bad injury attended by some complications, simple bed rest and symptomatic treatment led to an uneventful recovery with good functional results.
