Morquio-Brailsford Osteochondrodystrophy and Osteogenesis Imperfecta
REPORT OF A PATIENT WITH BOTH CONDITIONS
MICHAEL R. RASK M.D.1
1 From the Shriners' Hospital, Portland, Oregon
A patient with both osteochondrodystrophy and osteogenesis imperfecta is presented. Biopsy material from the costochondral junction of a rib and of the proximal tibial epiphyseal plate demonstrated abnormal maturation of chondrocytes, a quantitative decrease in the number of chondrocytes, and inactivity of enchondral growth areas.
