The Anterior Axillary Incision to Approach the Shoulder Joint

An anterior axillary approach to the shoulder joint has been described and illustrated. Although it has other incidental advantages, it is offered primarily because of the cosmetic improvement over other shoulder incisions. It has been used in fifty-five patients with quite satisfactory results.
