End Results of Patellectomy

Seventy-four patients with eighty-three patellectomies have been reviewed from the clinical standpoint.
All of these patients prior to surgery had serious patellofemoral disease. According to the described system of rating, the results were: excellent in fifty-two cases (63 per cent), good in sixteen (19 per cent), fair in seven (8 per cent), and poor in eight (10 per cent) after a follow-ship ranging from one to nineteen years.
