III. The Effect of Various Adjuvants on Sulphate Exchange in Cartilage Slices

Joint fluid from patients with severe degenerative arthritis and loose-body formation was shown to arrest the degradation of chondroitin sulphate usually seen in cartilage slices during incubation. Only hyaluronic acid of the several adjuvants tested had a similar effect.
