Fibrous Dysplasia of the Rib with Sarcomatous Change

A review of the literature produced only six well documented cases of sarcoma developing in fibrous dysplasia and all but one of these were of the polyostotic variety. It seems probable that our case is an example of malignant transformation of a lesion of monostotic fibrous dysplasia.
