Carpal Osteochondroma

Kingsbury G. Heiple M.D.1

1 Division of Orthopaedic Surgery, University Hospitals of Cleveland, and Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Cleveland

1. The etiology and incidence of osteochondromata, with particular reference to the bones entirely preformed in cartilage, has been discussed briefly.

2. A case of a large, solitary osteochondroma arising from the greater multangular is reported. This is the only case that has been reported and is only the fifth such lesion on any carpal bone that has been recorded to my knowledge.
