Metaphyseal Cortical Defects in the Tubular Bones of Growing Children

Metaphyseal cortical defects are a common disturbance of ossification in children and tend to occur as commonly in boys as in girls. Their incidence is about 27 per cent in the total population, as estimated from this series. A definite familial incidence was established.
