The Repair of Knee Ligaments by Cutis-Graft Transplants

Skin has less tensile strength, elongates more readily, and loses more energy than fascia. However, it has certain advantages over fascia due to its greater thickness and to its lesser tendency to fray.

It has been used successfully in five cases for the repair of torn knee ligaments.
