Quadriceps Cineplasty in a Patient with Bilateral Lower-Extremity Amputations

A quadriceps cineplastic tunnel was provided for the end-bearing stump of a patient with bilateral above-the-knee amputations. The tunnel had sufficient excursion and strength to actively extend the leg section of a simple end-bearing prosthesis and to produce some stability and control in the artificial knee joint.
