FATIGUE FRACTURES

1 Station Hospital, Camp Howze, Texas
The incidence of fatigue fractures, particularly in the tibia, among infantry troops in training is higher than one might expect. Many such cases may be overlooked because of the minor nature of the complaints and the failure to obtain roentgenograms on slight clinical evidence. If the entity is kept constantly in mind, many more cases will undoubtedly be uncovered.
