J. B. deC. M. Saunders M.D., CH.B., F.R.C.S.1 and A. H. Rice M.D.1

1 Division of Anatomy, University of California Medical School, San Francisco

A technique is presented whereby surgical and anatomical dissections may be preserved in dry, odorless, permanent preparations, demonstrating the most minute detail in sharp contrast. It includes:

2. Painting with water colors;

3. Preservation of tissues by infiltration with absolute alcohol, amyl acetate, and lacquer.
