Morton's toe is a painful affliction of the foot which is often resistant to conservative treatment. It is caused by a tumor involving the most lateral branch of the medial plantar nerve. Careful palpation will usually reveal the tumor which lies high in the web between the third and fourth toes, and if symptoms justify it, excision of the tumor should be done.
