Preliminary Report

1 Shriners' Hospital for Crippled Children

1. Perthes' disease is characterized by a diminution of the serum calcium or phosphorus or both.

2. The pathology is very similar to that of rickets and osteomalacia.

3. These three conditions may be related etiologically.
