A Cervical Spine Injury Secondary to a Motor-Vehicle Accident1
A thirty-nine-year-old woman was involved in a motor-vehicle accident and was found to be unresponsive at the scene. Her injuries included bilateral pulmonary contusions and a right temporal subarachnoid hematoma. A lateral cervical spine radiograph and a magnetic resonance imaging scan were performed (Fig. 1).
